Weirdness round-up

On any given day on this wonderful and weird planet, there are strange and unexplained things going on. I sensed this at a very young age and had some very unusual experiences in my "wee lad" growing-up years. In elementary school, I voraciously read all the books I could on UFOs, ghosts, Bigfoot, Loch Ness Monster and the Bermuda Triangle I could find.

And as someone who is interested in unexplained earthly phenomena and who witnessed ball lightning in their house in Kansas on Nov. 19, 1990, I found this Fortean Times article on "earth lights" particularly interesting.

Here's a story in the Saskatoon (Saskatchewan) StarPhoenix newspaper featuring an interview with the mayor of Maidstone, Saskatchewan talking about her town's reputation as a top UFO hotspot in Canada.

The Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dakota has been the site of numerous "Bigfoot"-type activity and there have been sightings by tribal police as well. Check out this Cryptomundo article to find out more.

And finally, if you live in the Corpus Christi, Texas area, you may want to keep your pets - especially cats - inside your home. Something evil is lurking down there and is killing and mutilating innocent felines, according to a report from paranormal investigator Linda Moulton Howe. And I give the Corpus Christi Caller-Times props for reporting on this mystery as well.
